Pop-Up Park — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 August 2026 Applies to: Pop-Up Park for iOS and Android
Who we are
Pop-Up Park is made by PxHurts OÜ, Telliskivi tn 60a/5, 10412 Tallinn, Estonia. For any question about this policy or your data, write to hello@pixelhurts.com.
The short version
- We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, or address.
- We do not require an account. Your progress is stored on your own device.
- We show ads, and we sell a few optional in-app purchases. Both involve third parties.
- We ask your year of birth once, so we can decide what kind of ads you may be shown.
- If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before any advertising identifier is used, and you can change that answer at any time in Settings → Ad & Privacy Choices.
What the app stores on your device
Your progress — the level you have reached, your park, your coins, hints and purchases — is saved in a file on your device. We cannot read it, and it is deleted when you delete the app. Deleting the app deletes this data permanently; we hold no copy and cannot restore it.
What we collect
Gameplay and performance data
To understand whether the game works and whether it is any good, we collect events such as: which level you started, whether you finished it, how long a session lasted, which buttons you pressed, and crash reports including the technical details of the failure. These are tied to a random identifier for your installation, not to you.
Why we may do this: our legitimate interest in making the game work and improving it (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
Advertising
Ads keep the game free. Depending on your age and your consent, ads are either:
- Personalised — the ad network may use an advertising identifier from your device to choose ads and to measure them; or
- Contextual — chosen only from what is on screen, using no advertising identifier.
We only ever serve contextual ads if: you told us you are under 16, or you declined consent, or you declined App Tracking Transparency on iOS.
Why we may do this: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)) where consent is required; otherwise our legitimate interest in funding a free game.
Purchases
In-app purchases are handled entirely by Apple and Google. We never see your card details. We receive confirmation that a purchase succeeded so we can unlock what you bought.
Why we may do this: performance of a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share the minimum necessary with the providers below, each of which has its own privacy policy:
| Provider | What it does | Their policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob and the User Messaging Platform | Serves and measures ads, and shows the consent form | https://policies.google.com/privacy |
| Google Firebase (Analytics and Crashlytics) | Gameplay analytics and crash reports | https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
| Apple / Google | In-app purchases and app distribution | https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/ · https://policies.google.com/privacy |
Some of these providers operate outside your country. Where data leaves the EEA or the UK, it is transferred under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
Children
Pop-Up Park is rated for a general audience aged 9 and over. It is not directed at children under 13.
We ask your year of birth the first time you open the game. If the answer places you under 16:
- no advertising identifier is used, and ads are contextual only;
- the iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt is never shown to you;
- ad providers are instructed to treat the request as child-directed.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, write to hello@pixelhurts.com and we will delete it.
How long we keep it
Analytics and crash data are retained for 14 months, then deleted or aggregated beyond recovery. Purchase records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent.
- Withdraw or change advertising consent: Settings → Ad & Privacy Choices, in the app. It is exactly as easy to withdraw as it was to give.
- Reset the advertising identifier: iOS — Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Android — Settings → Google → Ads.
- Delete everything we store on your device: delete the app.
- Anything else: write to hello@pixelhurts.com. We answer within 30 days.
If you are in the EEA or the UK and are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to your national data protection authority.
If you are in California
We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA. You have the right to know, delete, correct, and to be free from discrimination for exercising those rights. Contact us at hello@pixelhurts.com.
Security
We use HTTPS for everything that leaves the device, and we hold no account database that could be breached, because there are no accounts. No system is perfectly secure, but there is very little here worth stealing — which is deliberate.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
